When teams break morale suffers, productivity declines and members don’t look forward to coming to work. Turnover can be at risk resulting in expensive recruiting and training costs to replace lost employees.
The primary reasons teams break are:
- Conflicting Goals
- Unclear Expectations
- Failure to Communicate
- Lack of Trust
We recommend an "assess, prescribe, implement and reinforce"
strategy, with ongoing evaluation at every step of the process, to repair
broken teams and develop healthy ones. The vehicles for this strategy can
include:
T.E.A.M.S.™ is a team assessment program that allows anonymous
data collection by paper or floppy disk. Employees in many
environments do not have computer access as is the case in many
manufacturing or laboratory facilities. Survey administrators, using T.E.A.M.S.™,
locally administer and manually enter data collected from team
assessments. Detailed reports provide comparative feedback about
specific team strengths and weaknesses using force-field and gap
analysis.
TeamPerspectives© is a
web-based team assessment tool that anonymously collects information from members about team attitudes and reveals potential breakdowns in the team. It is simply and confidentially administered through our secure web site where members access, answer and submit the
TeamPerspectives© survey. CorporatePerspectives will download the data from our site, create a comprehensive
team profile for you, and deliver the profile to you as your outsource
service provider. You may also purchase the software from us for
internal administration.
Team Vitality™ is a series of 12
"Single Point" lessons that you can administer and instruct
internally. Designed to be taught in a variety of ways by leaders and by
training professionals in about one-hour sessions, Team Vitality™
comes with a leader’s guide and an "Implementation Manual". All
sessions begin with interesting and engaging exercises that ensure the
training is relevant. Most training sessions include practical and
entertaining video examples. In addition, Team Vitality™ includes a
TEAMWORK assessment, a 32-question assessment that is self-administered and
scored. This assessment allows teams to understand their strengths and
opportunities for improvement, and then focus on what their team
specifically needs to work on to improve both their work and their team.
